great wine begins with premium grapes

StoneTree Vineyard is 250 acres of wine grapes on the Wahluke Slope. We grow various clones of most of the principle Bordeaux and Rhone red varieties, as well as Zinfandel, Primitivo, Tempranillo, and Petit Syrah.
At an altitude of 930 ft. to 1,250 ft. above sea level on the South slope of Saddle Mountain, the vineyard has a commanding view of the Wahluke Slope AVA. We are pleased to supply premium fruit to some of the most prestigious wineries in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.

history

StoneTree Vineyard is built on 257 acres, leased on a 25-year lease from the Washington State Department of Natural Resources. Several of the best vineyards on the Wahluke Slope lie on the lower elevations between the Columbia and StoneTree Vineyard. Saddle Mountain Vineyards, LLC (SMV) was started by Tedd Wildman and Mark Wheeler in 2000 as a holding company for wholly-owned vineyard properties. SMV now owns StoneTree and one other vineyard, named James Vineyard.
