THE VINEYARD SITE
The vineyard is sited on a 250-acre, gently sloping hillside Northwest of Mattawa, in Grant County, Washington, within the Wahluke Slope AVA. Bounded by the Columbia River and the Saddle Mountains, this wine-growing region produces some of the highest quality wine grapes in the state of Washington, or anywhere else.

StoneTree Vineyard is located in the heart of winemaking country in the Pacific Northwest. If you visit the area, you'll see why petrified trees influenced the selection of our company name. "StoneTree" is derived from the fact that there are a large number of petrified tree fossils found in the surrounding hills. This example has been identified as Sequoia, from the Miocene Epoch, 5-to-20 million years before the present.
